The Artistic Image Custom Digital Printing services
We print your images on the latest state of the art digital printers which are designed to deliver outstanding quality. Most photo labs simply print the files you give them. The Artistic Image looks at each file and if it will not yield a great print, we will discuss with you what might be done to make a better print.
Print Prices
Digital images are seldom standard sizes such as 11 X 14 or 16 X 20. Most Fine Art photographers let the image dictate the actual print format. Printing on regular photo paper is charged at 10 cents per square inch. Printing on fine art papers is charged at 12 cents per square inch.
Calculating sizes and prices
To calculate the square inches in a print, multiply the width by the height of the print. Use the next largest whole number if the measurement is a fraction. For example if the size were 18.5 inches, use 19 inches. A 20 X 14.5 print would be calculated as follows 20 X 15 = 300 square inches X .10 = $30.00 for regular photo paper. That same print on fine art paper would be 300 X .12 or $36.00.

Test prints
Each print 16 X 20 or large will include one test print at no charge. If you request additional tests, decide to edit the file and make additional tests, or decide not to print the file, there will be a $6.00 charge for each test.

Notes about sending us files
We are able to accept files in most formats such as TIFF or JPEG. We use both Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Corel PaintShop Pro X3, so both of those file types are also compatible. You may bring us your file on a USB Flash drive, or a CD / DVD. You could also e-mail it to gallery@PhotoArtNM.com .
Notes about the papers we use
Premier Photo Luster Paper This is an E surface paper that is very similar to the paper traditionally used in many photographic markets. It features a rich texture that breaks up reflective glare, and reduces gloss differential.
Epson Premium Luster This is one of our highest performing photo papers. It features the same Luster E surface (orange peel) of traditional silver halide prints. This is a favorite among many professional photographers.
Epson Enhanced Mat Paper This is a high-performance, matte-finished paper, for professional imaging use. It is preferred by many photographers and designers. Many business presentations or graphics applications work well on this paper.
Epson Velvet Paper This is a thick white, 100% cotton rag fine art paper for professional use. It features a velvet surface texture for a distinctive museum quality feel, along with an extremely high black density. Many Fine Art images both Black & White or Color work well on this paper.
Epson Hot Press Natural Paper An acid free, 100% cotton rag art Paper with a natural smooth finish. This paper has an extremely high color gamut and black density. It is especially good if you want an antique look to the print.
Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper A true fiber based, thick photographic art paper, perfect for professional color and black and white prints. This is one of our highest end photographic papers. Some of the world's greatest photography has been produced on this paper.

Image editing Services
Simple image editing such as density, contrast, color balance, cropping, or image sizing are no charge with a print order.
Complex editing requiring selections, layers, adding text, or modifying images will be charged at $25.00 per hour.
