Portraits of American Indian Youth
Professional photographer, Kim Ashley, spent five summers on assignment for Futures for Children, an Albuquerque-based organization that serves Hopi, Navajo, and Pueblo tribal communities. Since its founding in 1968, Futures has provided mentoring, training, and educational
services to more than 20,000 American Indian students and their families.
This photo assignment took Kim to 22 Indian villages throughout New Mexico and Arizona and gave him unprecedented access to Native children living on reservations. The result is a unique portfolio of fine art photographs of Native youth, the future leaders of their communities, who bridge tradition and modernity.

photographer Theodore Greer. The images in the show are designed to put you, the viewer, "in the frame" and transport you to another place, possibly in your own backyard. You won't need a GPS to find the interesting landscapes featured in this show, but if you have one, you can plug in the coordinates and go straight to where the image was made.
